Date Night Spots, Gold Coast

February 7, 2018

Date night's on the Gold Coast are hard to beat with the beautiful beaches as your backdrop, warm weather to stay out late and the abundance of restaurants to choose from. You can pretty much sweep anyone off their feet!

For all the love struck peeps out there I have put together a list of the most romantic spots on the Gold Coast where you can wine and dine like the true champion you are, I have also broken the categories up to cater for every wallet size. There is no need to spend big to show the one you love that you care, it is the effort my dears, the effort is all that matters! Also, spending big can work just as well....

Fancy Shmancy

Lest bust out some of the best on coast and kick off any date night in true style;

Rick Shores

Here are a few of their accomplishments, already, in 2018; Good Food Guide 2018 1 Hat, Good Food Guide 2018 Wine Glass, Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide 2018 1 Star... So we are off to a pretty amazing start. Located right on the sand at Burleigh Beach, serving Pan Asian cuisine that will blow your mind, you really can't be disappointed. And you wont be with a menu that pleases all eaters and a drinks list that takes you on a journey in itself.

Little Truffle Dining Room and Bar

I learnt about this place thanks to an Uber driver I had once, who was a self declared 'foodie'. Such a romantic spot for a lovely fine dining experience, that is actually great value at the same time. You'll be served Modern Australian cuisine with influences from South Western Europe, think Cauliflower, parsnip and truffle veloute, fresh chives, truffle oil....drool worthy stuff. I love this place as well for being fine dining, as well as catering for all kinds of dietary requirements, be you vegetarian or meat lover - You'll be filled with amazing dishes.

Glass Dining Lounge and Bar

Fancy some fine dining on the Main Beach Marina this date night?

The menu changes with the seasons at Glass and only the best produce is used, this place is golden.

Middle Ground Faves

It is date night but you want a more relaxed vibe and maybe some lively atmosphere to go along with all that love in the air;

Justin Lane

Book the rooftop for all the fairy light, neon sign goodness you will need on your date night and then kick back as you sip on vino and devour your pizza.

Enjoy the views of Burleigh's lovely foreshore and through to the Gold Coast skyline mixed with great atmosphere and energetic staff.

The pizza is delicious, so is the pasta, cocktails are bomb and the vibe is always full of life.

The Collective Palm Beach

Make sure you book a table and enjoy the choice of multiple cuisines, from different restaurants under the same roof. The food is always great, staff a pleasure and atmosphere is on point. I love the top floor the best, with a huge feature bar and laid back dining, it is a great spot to share food and cocktails with a hot date.

Jimmy Wah's

I have to say this is my local fave, I love fresh Vietnamese food and they deliver every time. You never walk out of here feeling "over-full" or like you've cheated on your diet, because the plates are vibrant, light and packed full of flavour.  Not to mention the intimate dining feel, with lovely lighting and great music.

Don't Break The Budget

Money doesn't buy love, it's the effort that wins hearts (and budgets)

Picnic Date

Skip the middle man, create a picnic friendly meal for you and your lover and set the scene at your favourite spot. Could be Burleigh Hill at sunset?

Don't forget a bottle of wine, a rug, pillows and even some little candles if you want to be that bit extra. Perrrrrrrfect!

Back Yard Movie Date

Transform your backyard, bedroom or lounge with a white sheet, projector (borrow or hire one), the best array of rom-com cult classics, plenty of pillows and some home delivered cuisine and bam...you've got a whole heap of romance for a very little price tag. Bonus points for fairy lights and  vino!

D-I-Y Taco Night

Cheap, easy, delicous!

Create a make-your-own Taco station, put on some great tunes, ice some beers and have fun seeing who makes the best taco in town, all while you make a huge mess. Impress with some margaritas for some extra Mexican vibes.
