The Best Vitamins for Traveling

Travel is tough, on our bodies, sleep patterns and immune system. Sometimes, instead of feeling restored during or after our travels we return sluggish and even sick. You can't stop germs, but you can prepare your body with the best chance to fight them off and stay healthy during your vay-cay.

Here are some tips for healthy traveling by stocking this supply of natural vitamins to help counter acting the stress and fatigue of travel:


Taking a multi vitamin daily is awesome, but whilst travelling it is an extra boost when you are in weird places, eating weird food and probably having a few more drinks or nights out than normal, depending on your travel style. A multivitamin can never hurt, only help.

B-Complex Vitamins

B-Complex vitamins are my savour. I actually have a B-Complex shot weekly to combat depression and boost overall mental health and wellbeing. High doses of vitamin B6, B12 and riboflavin along with a top-up of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and chromium to combat the effects of stress and fatigue and boost the immune system.

Valerian Root

This baby is all about sleep. Long flights, trying to sleep in seats and jet lag plays havoc with your body's sleep patterns. (Melatonin tablets can help immensely too)


The infection fighter! It helps your white blood cell production and helps kick colds, flu's and chest infections right up the butt.


Ginger is a great immune booster and great for travel sickness. Take a few ginger tablets (of pure ginger, not just a rip off extract) 30-40 mins before flying or which ever way you are travelling to ease your nausea.

Vitamin C

Everyones immune system suffers in airports, planes and crowded areas with all the people and extra germs floating around. Vitamin C will give you that extra edge to fight off any weird stranger, accidentally (grossly) coughing or sneezing in your face while you are boarding your flight.


Keep your focus and mental stamina on those business trips or highly active holidays when you are out and about every day.

Fresh Fruit and Veggies Daily

All the above vitamins will help you keep healthy, but theres nothing like leafy greens, chomping on bright fruit and eating well rounded meals during your travels to make sure you body is getting all the goodies it needs to stay healthy while you are off adventuring.
